Winterheart asked:

Apparently Walmart gets away with allot of things like maximum minimum wages for their employees along with no benefits but, I need to know how much does Walmart actually make in one day of it being open. Their prices are low enough to make any person who lives in lower or middle class go straight to them. How do they do it? Exactly how much does a single Gigantic box of Walmart make in a one day time period?

A lot of dough. Check my link, it has a lot of info about walmart finance, but the reason they have so low prices is: 4% profit margin. THAT is really low.
      400billion in sales a year is a lot of money, but they have 2 100 000 employees…

EDIT: I just found out there are 7262 stores, therefore each one makes $150 000 a day

By being large enough to be able to control their own merchandise buy pricing from vendors.

Depending on store size and market area, $75,000-$350,000

In 2007, Walmart’s net income was $12.88 billion. They have approximately 5,000 retail stores worldwide. That means an average net profit at each retail location of $2.56 million. They’re open 365 days a year, so that averages out to roughly $7260 of net profit per store per day. Naturally, some store are more productive than others.

They make a profit by selling a LOT of things at low margins. It’s basically the same business model as grocery stores.
